Kenneth C TaylorJuly 7, 1942 ~ August 17, 2017 (age 75)
Kenneth C. Taylor was born July 7, 1942, in Las Vegas, Nevada, to Claude Frank Taylor and Donna Lucille Dallin. He had two older half-brothers, Arthur and Jerry, and three younger siblings, Allen, Donna Jean, and Dal.
Ken married Susan Sabey on August 16, 1963. They were the parents of one son, James Taylor. Ken married Judy Alice (Musser) Peterson on 2 August 1975 and became a father to her five children: Susanne, Susette, Steven, Mary, and Daniel. Ken and Judy were sealed on December 10, 2008, in the Salt Lake Temple.
What can you say about a man that put everyone before himself? Ken was a unique man that defined success for himself and rejected what the world defined as success. He felt that his only worth was what he did for other people. He was successful! He often felt like he gave so little (two mites) he always wished he had more to give. But like the woman in the Bible, Ken truly gave all he had to those around him. He was a devoted husband and dedicated his life to helping others.
Ken had a strong work ethic, often working overtime, holidays and weekends, to provide for his loved ones. His family knew he was sick the last few weeks of his life because he missed work. He took great pride in the work he did for Sears, Van Gas, KFC, Ammonia Refrigeration and Unesco, Ads Across America, his Spanish Fork convenience store Quick Corner, and the many years he was employed as a security guard at Fairchild Semiconductor and for Allied Barton. When not working, he enjoyed watching John Wayne movies, hunting, fishing, gardening, and cooking. Some of his family’s favorites were the homemade bread, ice cream, pies, spudnuts, and chicken noodle soup that he made.
On the 17th of August, the world lost a great man. Ken will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him, especially his children: Susanne Haring, Susette Peterson, Jim (Dianne) Taylor, Steven Peterson, Mary Gunning, and Daniel (BethAnne) Peterson; grandchildren: Krysten (Mark) Baca, Jonathan Haring, Andrew (Lacey) Haring, Sean Haring, James Taylor, Chris Taylor, Wesley (Trissta) Gunning, Mark Ryan Myres, Eliza Beames and Zack Beames; and great-grandchildren: Gabriel Baca, Tabitha Baca, Isaac Baca, Logan Haring, Gunner Haring, Isla Haring, Brakin (Gunning) Andrus, LeGacee (Gunning) Andrus, Skyla Taylor, and Cordell Myres, and siblings Donna Jean (John) Millar and Dal (Lori) Taylor. As well as dear friends Christina, Blake, and Tessa. Services will be Saturday, August 26, 2017, 11:00 am in the LDS Chapel, 583 N. 270 E. Tooele. Interment will be at 3:00 pm at the Orem Cemetery.
