Joseph Michael Simshauser, age 55, passed away from a lengthy illness on Sunday evening, August 11, 2019 at the University of Utah Hospital surrounded by his loving family.
He was born December 5, 1963 in Phoenix, Arizona to Grace Simshauser and Frank Troub, Sr.
Joe had a passion for cooking! He loved to go fishing and camping. He enjoyed working in his beautiful garden and doing yardwork. He cherished the love of his life; Nancy and best friend Mark. He loved Nancy’s family and they loved him too. He gained 5 kids, 19 grandkids and 4 great grandbabies. Joe loved to smile and had a contagious laugh. He never had a frown on his face and would give the shirt off his back to anyone in need.
Grandpa Joe loved making people happy whether it was with food, playing, or cracking jokes.
He is survived by his companion: Nancy Seat; mother: Grace; father: Frank; 8 siblings: Jeff (Verna), Frank, Alvin (Angela), Rose, Lisa, Michael, Cindy, Angel (Shawn). 5 Kids: Melissa (Tim), Jason (Denise), Tyra (George), Markus (Brittney), Natasha (Bob). 36 nieces and nephews. 19 grandkids and 4 great grandbabies.
Preceded in death by Louis Simshauser, Pam Troub, Nola Riddle and many other loved ones.
Graveside services will be held on Thursday, August 22, 2019 at 11 AM in the Grantsville City Cemetery.
Viewing will be held from 9:30-10:30 at the Dalton-Hoopes Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 50 W Main, Grantsville. (435-884-3031)
