Zachary Lee Barr was born November 12, 1986 in Mt. Pleasant, Utah, to Sally Eileen Pett and Richard William Barr.
He married Brittini (Mori) Barr on December 20, 2018. Zach was called home to be with his parents on March 29, 2019, losing his battle with opiate addiction.
Zach was a shining star from an early age. He discovered his passion for music at 12. He had a natural affinity for hip-hop and mastered his own sound in “beats and rhymes.”
He was a track and football star in high school.
His addiction began after a sports injury. He was in long-term recovery, fighting hard to beat the demons of addiction. This relapse was his last.
Zach loved his family more than anything. His laugh could fill a room, and he was never short of wise-cracks. He was deeply loved by so many and he will be mourned and missed more than he could have ever imagined.
He was a dedicated father, loyal husband, fun-loving uncle, brother and cousin. Most of all, he was someone that anyone could befriend. He enjoyed video games, cooking, making music, and spending his free time with his family.
He is preceded in death by his parents and grandparents. He is survived by his wife, Brittini, his son Lyrik Reazen (Andrea), daughter Willow Skye, brother, sisters, nieces, nephews and cousins.
His Celebration of Life will be held at the Liberty Park pavilion (900 S 700 E, SLC) on April 4, 2019 from 1pm to 6pm.
